FINAL DOUBLE PAGE SPEAD

This is my final double page spread.

This is my final contents page for my music magazine.

Editing my contents page.

when creating my contents page i first began by adding the word 'CONTENTS' to the top of the page, establising to the audience that this is the contents page. i used black and bold writing to make the heading stand out.

I then added my text in two seperate colums alowing space for my pictures. i used the linking tool to drag my text along to the next colum. i also used a line between both colums to act as a divider between both.

I then started to add my pictures in using a picture box and then scaling my picture to the box. This took along time as i had to keep rearranging my pictures so that they would all fit in as a collage. i chose my main image as it stands out with a very strong pose and shows attitude and is a complimantary style to the genre of my magazine

After rearranging all my pictures to fit right i then added my magazine title to the top of the page in the same font as i used on the front cover. i also added the name of my magazine and date at the bottom of the page below the guidelines in size 7 font, following the codes and conventions of a magazine contents page.

Once i was happy with the arrangement of my pictures i then added page numbers to the pictures, following the codes and conventions of a contents page and allowing the audience to see what picture relates to what article.

FINAL FRONT COVER.

This is my final music magazine front cover.

Editing 2

I began to edit my front cover, changing the main image and the mast head as the mast head did not fit the genre of my magazine.

i  changed my main image and added more bands to the 'PLUS'. I also got rid of the 'free poster' as this does not follow the codes and conventions of this genre of music magazine.

I then created a new mast head using a simple, bold font which is more affective and stands out more than the old one. i used regular impact and added the bevel and emboss effect. i also changed my positioning statement 'REAL AND LOUD' making it smaller and positioning it to the left, below the mast head, following the codes and conventions further. i also changed the fot in order to make it stand out more and fit the genre.

I then edited the main coverline making it white to stand out from the other coverlines as they are yellow. I also added more coverlines and made my sublines shorter

I then experimented with the possitioning of the coverlines, to see which looked best. i also made the gap between the sublines and coverlines smaller. I then added '...' between every band name on my plus strip as you couldnt read the names properly. i then added the date and price in the left corner underneath the mast head.
