Production of front cover.

When creating my front cover, i used Adobe Photoshop to crop and edit my images and to create my front cover.

I created my masthead by using Bevel and emboss to create the white shadow around the lettering and to add depth to the lettering. i also used drop shadow effect to define the white shadows around the letters, as well as using an inner glow and stroke to create the black between the white text and shadow.

I then used the magnetic lasso tool and the eraser tool to cut my image out. i then added the image to my front cover and used exposure to change the light contrast making the colours look more darker and more defined which goes with the rock genre of magazine.

I then created the green strip at the bottom using shapes and used bevel and emboss to give it depth. Then added the buzz word and writing.

I then created another shape and used bevel and emboss on this to give depth. I then added photographs which i have taken to be posters.

I then created my main headline, again using bevel and emboss and made it stand out by having it larger than my other text. I also made the subline a white colour with a tint of green to compliment my colour scheme.

I then created my other coverlines using the same tools, but making them smaller to make the main coverline stand out more.

I added the rest of my coverlines, a barcode, my ...... and the date.
